Venty vaporizer error codes and how to troubleshoot them
The Venty vaporizer utilizes error codes to notify you when an issue arises or when operating conditions are outside the normal range. Each code points to a specific issue, from temperature problems to charging or internal faults.
This guide explains what each Venty error code means and guides the next steps. For full details, the device manual from Storz and Bickel is always the best reference.
Venty error codes and what they mean
ERR 001
Meaning
The device temperature is too high.
What to do
- Allow the vaporizer to cool completely before using it again.
- Ensure the device is located in a climate-controlled area and is not exposed to extreme heat.
ERR 002
Meaning
The device temperature is too low.
What to do
- Move the vaporizer to a warmer environment.
- Do not use external heat sources to warm it up. Let it come up to temperature naturally.
ERR 003
Meaning
The USB charger or cable is not suitable.
What to do
- Use only original Storz and Bickel charging accessories.
- If needed, switch to the original cable and charging block that came with the Venty.
ERR 004
Meaning
The vaporizer is faulty. This is a general internal hardware or firmware error. Some users have found that a simple power cycle can clear minor bugs, but persistent issues usually require a warranty claim.
What to do
- Turn the device off and let it sit for a few minutes before trying to turn it back on. A factory reset can also help clea this code
- If the error continues to appear, contact Storz and Bickel customer service.
- Many users with this error have received a replacement device through the company’s warranty service, especially with older models.
ERR 005
Meaning
The device has detected airflow in the wrong direction. This usually happens when someone blows into the device instead of inhaling.
What to do
- Inhale normally from the device.
- Avoid exhaling back into the vaporizer..
- Ensure the device has been cleaned as shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4snbvWhrW0Q
Try a factory reset
In some cases, a factory reset can clear error codes and restore normal function. This is the only reset method you should use.
To perform a factory reset on the Venty:
- Power the device on
- Press and hold the power button for ten seconds
- Keep holding until the device vibrates and the screen flashes
After this, test the device again to see if the error code has cleared.
